The CPU usage at startup is normal, the plugins do a lot of things at
startup. The strange thing is the memory usage because in my
development setup of 7.6 the memory usage stays around 120-140MB with
ALL my plugins installed.
Could there be some OS differences ?
I'm on Ubuntu 8.04.4, what OS are you using ?
Which perl version (shown in SBS Settings/Information) ?
Do you get the memory problems if the only third party plugin you have
installed is Custom Browse ?
Do you still get the memory problems if you temporary point the
directories in Custom Browse settings to empty directories with no xml
configuration files ?
Alan/Andy, has there been some changes regarding garbage collection of
perl lately ?
I'm just asking because I think I'm probably doing a lot of memory
access at startup when parsing a lot of xml files and applying
templates with the Template Toolkit, so if it isn't garbage collected
properly it could probably pile up a bit.

Do you know if that's new or if it also has happened in older SBS
versions ?
