MIP doesn't work for me either on XP, v7.6.0, r31861. Same error message in log. Explains why MIP status is not picked up by the internal scanner for "New and Changed" music scans. Spicefly SugarCube works though, but SugarCube talks directly to the MIP service, not to the MIP plugin.
