15 seconds is a fair bit of a song. I see it as easy that a user may
decide to skip 10 songs in a row after hearing less than 15 seconds of
each song. I have done it numerous times :)

The default of 10 songs and 15 seconds tripped up another user in this
thread following nightlys in just a few days of me bringing up the
issue. Could you imagine how many users it will trip up in a stable?

I'm open for ideas but I think 15 seconds is excessive delay. I would
think 5 seconds would be plenty to buffer adequately for any machines
that should be considered to run SBS 7.6. Plus the 5 second delay
before random song generation should not be reset if a song change
occurs.

Im fine for a slight delay for things to settle for real time critical
tasks, but those operation due after 5 seconds must complete regardless
and cant be postponed indefinitely.

Eg
1)play Song 1
2)5 second delay timer triggered
3)skip song immediately
4)song 2 plays
5)check for existing timer (do not reset timer :))
6)additional timer not required as existing timer is still waiting
7)original timer expires and delayed code is executed.
