Hi, I'm looking for a couple inteprid users of my BBC plugins and who don't mind ssh/scp files onto their Radio to help me test something I'm prototyping.
The aim is to make flash/aac stream more stable on Radio by changing the way the code works. If you can help test please read below... All I'm really looking for is for people to try the following steps and then report what the stablity of flash/aac stream is following the update. Attached is a couple of files for radio which are a new implementation of the rtmp handler (the software which runs the rtmp protocol necessary to receive flash/aac streams). [They move the complex part of the protocol from lua into C to make it faster and create less memory problems] In the attached zip file are two files: rtmp.so and Rtmp.lua, please scp these to your radio and put them in the following locations: /usr/share/jive/jive/audio/Rtmp.lua /usr/lib/lua/5.1/rtmp.so sync and then reboot your radio Then make sure the BBCRadio applet or BBCiPlayer plugins are set to use flash/aac streams (and for the plugin then the server is set to direct streaming for remote streams to the player). How stable are flash/aac streams once you have done this? Are they more or less stable than before? Do you have any reboots or other events? Thanks, Adrian +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: rtmp.zip | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=11317| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- Triode ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85469 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
