That's working now. Another thing I'm seeing is that Browse Music Folder doesn't work with shortcuts in SqueezePlay, but does follow them successfully in the web interface.
I have Music Folder set to 'D:\slim\72\music', which contains one shortcut to 'E:\Flac'.
