Same here.

Installed latest 7.6 nightly. Emptied cache folder. Ran a clear &
rescan. It finishes, but DOESN'T update the database. It looks like the
pre-caching artwork stage fails. Rebooted the server. (not the service).
Hey, there's my database! (That looked like it failed previously). From
now on clear & rescan works.
