There have been bugs that have gone unsolved for years now, and artwork is still a major disaster unless you choose to use embedded. I've got a system that works and I don't want it screwed with and then deferred for x years' of releases because other, new, marketing-driven features are more important than letting the developers fix the underlying problems. I've got no need for auto rescan because I have a specific workflow process that suits my needs, since Squeezebox isn't the only recipient of music that I rip. So I really don't want it to scan music until I'm in the position that I'm ready for it.
