On my 1024x768 netbook I run it full screen, with as little window
chrome showing as possible, to maximize the screen area. I also have a
slightly modified version of Default that doesn't waste quite as much
screen space. With 117px square covers and the right-hand pane pulled
to its minimum size, I get four large covers per row when browsing
albums.

On my desktop system, with two 19" 1280x1024 monitors, I run it in
pretty much the same 1024px wide window, so I get four covers across.
Only difference is that the window is much taller.

I always have the web UI loaded as the first tab in my main browser
window, so either one is done from the same window.

Or just eliminated. I've said that from the first day the design was
revealed. There too much wasted space, particularly in the vertical
dimension, which makes running on a small monitor like a 768px tall
netbook screen, less than ideal.

If it's to be a web interface, first and foremost, eliminate the
frames. These have been an endless source of problems, not the least of
which is controlling the wrong player all too often.

I've often thought a tabbed interface might work well. Unless I can
drag and drop tracks from the browse window into the playlist (which
doesn't really interest me - 'add' and 'play next' are all I need),
there's no reason to have the current playlist occupy that much screen
real estate when you're browsing the library. Use a tab, or place an
expandable/shrinkable areas on screen for the current playlist.
