Hi,
Yes I tried and I tried, without success. If I had my music on the
computer or an attached drive, there was no problem, but with the music
on the network W.H.S. it was no-go, no matter what I did. In fact my
hair turned grey (no some of it was grey already, just some more added
though).
I initially had the same problem with Muso, but then I tried it the
other way round, putting Muso on the server, where the music is stored.
That works a treat, but Moose didn't work on the W.H.S., it just caused
"error messages"
As I said before, I have tried other programs on the server and it is
"pot luck" if it works. I am lead to believe this is why you can't use
anti-virus programs on the server, without producing constant error
messages, unless they are specifically written to go on the server.
I also use "Perfect Disk 11" as a drive manager/defrag program on the
W.H.S.. Without that program, the W.H.S. is so slow, it almost comes
to a standstill, even with the uprated Intel Atom 330 C.P.U. and 2GB of
Ram.
I was considering at one time, using the W.H.S. as a door stop, but too
much money had been spent on it by that time, getting it upgraded!
