Interesting, just checked this out on my system. Inconsistent results: Running 7.5.4 (on vortexbox appliance).
FLAC Albums, with standard tags (vorbis comments), ripped with dbpa. TWO EXAMPLES (first with Album Artist, second without AA). Album: The Complete Playboys Sessions 1956 Album Artist: Chet Baker & Art Pepper Artist: Chet Baker Artist: Art Pepper SbS Web GUI: 1. browsing by artist, album shows up under Chet Baker, Art Pepper, and Chet Baker & Art Pepper. This is what I wanted. 2. When playing, the playlist in WebGUI shows the album at top with all three names (Chet Baker & Art Pepper, Chet Baker, Art Pepper). The individual track names don't list the Album Artist and show only the track name and the both track artists (Chet Baker, Art Pepper). Again, this is desired behavior. SqueezePlay running on my laptop: 1. Browsing by album shows the album name and "Chet Baker & Art Pepper" (the Album Artist). But when I look at the track listing, it shows the "track name, Chet Baker - Complete Playboys Sessions 1956". That is, it seems to use the first track artist name and ignores the album artist or the second track artist. 2. When looking at now playing screen for current track, it shows art, album name and all three (AA, and both track artists, with commas in between). So this is as desired. iPeng on ipad or iphone: 1. In playlist, top shows album name and album artist. But track listing only shows track name and first track artist (Chet Baker) SqueezePad on ipad. 1. same as ipeng. In individual track listings in playlist view, shows the track title and only Chet Baker. ALBUM: Two Men With the Blues Artist: Willie Nelson Artist: Wynton Marsalis NOTE...no album artist entered here.... in SbS WebGUI 1. in browsing Albums, when selected shows the album name along with Willie Nelson, Wynton Marsalis 2. Individual tracks in playlist view show track name, album name, then both artists (Willie Nelson, Wynton Marsalis) In SqueezePlay on laptop 1. Track listing in playlist shows only the first artist (Willie Nelson). However, now playing screen for track playing only, shows art, BOTH artists, and track name. This is as desired. And only differs from the first example because there is no AA listed. In ipeng on Ipad/iphone or squeezepad on ipad: 1. When browsing album it shows up with just Willie Nelson (first artist) and track listing in playlists shows just Willie Nelson. Shows just the first artist. BOTTOM LINE. Seems to work as expected in WebGUI, but not at all in ipeng or squeezepad. SqueezePlay is a bit different (if there is AA it will show that in Album browsing list) but with track listing it reverts to just the first artist.
