Ok, I've just done a bit of testing with 7.6 and Mp3 files with ID3v2.3 tags.
I don't believe there's any problem with SBS using the item separator. You can easily verify this by drilling down into that album's track listing to the track info level. For track #4 you should see: Album Artist: Dave Stewart Track Artist: Dave Stewart, Martina McBride This would verifies that SBS is using the separator correctly. To make a long story short, what you're seeing are some of the many title formatting bugs that remain in 7.6. In an album's track listings I see only the album artist and none of the track artists. If left unfixed, it's a fairly major step backwards from 7.5.x and earlier versions. If you want to see something particularly bad, go to Settings > Interface and set Title Format to just TITLE (which, I believe, is the default). Then do a search. You'll see track results presented with absolutely no artist or album information. In 7.5 and earlier versions there was some intelligence that added artist and album if they weren't already part of the title format.
