I agree too.
If 7.6 is not going to be released, beta testers should be informed.
I also add that a beta version of LMS with binary install should be
made available as soon as possible.
7.5.3 and 7.5.4 are complete failures as far as normal users
expectations are concerned, and severe regressions regarding 7.5.2
7.6 seems to go (slowly ...) in the right direction, but if it is
abandonned ...
LMS should be available for beta testers as soon as possible, so we can
detect soon enough geek's funny things like those autorescans you cannot
disable (especially in TinySBS).
Others music software libraries are improving.
If softwares for Squeezebox products do not pay more attention to
normal use, don't look at what is obviously appreciated in others
popular music softwares, and go on disabling simple things necessary
for reliable and normal use, I don't think the squeezebox product line
will survive.

You will have Free Software, Open Source development, and a great LMS
software, most people won't use.
But I guess nobody is going to settle up Free Hardware, and Open
Hardware Design, to build Squeezebox Touch products available for free.
