Linux users can just do as follows to get around it:
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88250
Shouldn't be a problem if you are prepared to test an alpha vesion of
LMS and is able to manage a Linux machine.

Windows users have to either:
- ignore LMS for now and use standard 7.6 which is available as a
nightly build and wait for LMS to be available as a nightly build,
which will happen when Logitech think it's ready for beta (not alpha)
testing.
Or
- use an older ActiveState perl 5.10 version like the one Andy posted
about a few hours ago and participate in LMS alpha testing already
now.
Or
- wait for Logitech to upgrade the perl modules so 5.12 is supported on
Windows, which will happen when Logitech gives it priority, which is not
yet as Michael just said.

The perl issues will be solved but at the moment there are reasonable
workarounds for everyone that's willing to participate in LMS alpha
testing or 7.6 beta testing on all platforms. Those that don't think
the workarounds are suitable arE probably not going to be effective
alpha or beta testers at this stage, it's better that they enjoy their
stable 7.5.x release and wait until 7.6/LMS gets a bit more stable.
