Well, it's certainly there to appreciate, and I like it. It's nice when a new & changed scan to add half a dozen albums takes less than a minute, and (if I've recently done a scan, which probably keeps the file system in an OS cache) as little as 12 seconds. The new DB engine does play a significant part in the speedup. Having the database in memory and not having to communicate with a separate DB server is probably the main reason for the scanning speed increase. -- JJZolx ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86628 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
