I am very surprised by what you are saying there.
Music scan is already very problematic with SBS and LMS and Logitech
has a lot of problems to figure out those bugs.

If I understand correctly, you are saying that first version of LMS
will scan for music, videos and images without any option to enabled or
disable each.

In my opinion, if were in charge of developping that, especially with
limited resources, I would obviously put 3 global flags in prefs, in
order to be able to track music related scan bugs, images related scan
bugs and videos related scan bugs.

This is not a LMS options, it is scan option, like folders are scan
options.

Reliability and performance of scan is already a weak point of SBS,
even in 7.6
How can Logitech have any hope to improve this, if everything is forced
to be more automatic ?

Autorescan is the perfect illustration.
Very few users actually ask this feature, and it is a complete failure
whenever you have no option to disable it (e.g. TinySBS)
