Yes, I wasn't doubting that it wasn't successfully finishing.
What I mean is that if your music library source folder has two symbolic
links/shortcuts to two other locations. eg:
Music Library\
Phil's Music > M:\Music\Phil's Music\ [10,000 files]
Alex's Music > M:\Music\Alex's Music\ [500 files]
Then the first folder might take 40 mins to scan, and the second folder might
take 5 minutes to scan. The scanner reports "scan complete in 6 minutes"
because the 2nd folder it scans resets the progress reporting for the 1st
folder.
If you look in the scanner log, you can see when the scan really started and
really finished, to work out actual duration.
