Agree.

I installed Windows 7 x64 on a small AsRock NetTop (comes with dual
core ATOM N330 and 2 GB RAM)
It makes a very decent desktop computer, and as a server, it is far
superior to a NAS with much more flexibility, very silent.

I also installed a Ubuntu based Laptop with Chrome.
I makes a good device to access Internet, listen music, watch videos or
basic use.
But you quickly loose a lot of time if you need more things which are
absolutely straightforward with Windows.
On a laptop with limited resources, performance is not what I
expected.
I was quite happy with ubuntu 9.04
But with Ubuntu 10.10, some smart guy decided that you couldn't execute
any more a file located on a NTFS disk (at least without ridiculous
tweaking) !!!
With Ubuntu 11, some basic bash command files do not work any more !
(After the 10.10 NTFS joke, I was too lazy to understand why and revert
to previous version)
I don't know where those guys are going, but I am not sure it is the
right direction ...
