not sure what you mean, what things you're referring to? i for one
like it a lot, its much more useful to have access to fields i didn't
before, and esp artwok. it also properly updated its format code for
tags, uses checkboxes, and finally properly splits artists from titles
on comps, meaning in their own boxes, etc...

i have asked him to consider allowing users to toggle on comp=1 tags,
but thats really all thats missing for me. well, that and maybe post
rip soundcheck tagging, for the benefit of apple users. (i don't think
soundcheck has album tags, so it would make sense to add it directly
post rip)

ok, right, i understand now. i haven't tested it, but i would be
mildly surprised if a new virgin install of EAC w/flac wouldn't have
the parameters already set up for AA and composer, if only to keep it
consistent with his new gui. if not, i bet he adds this to be the
default in the next version.

i have four options with mine, one is free 3rd party, (music brainz i
think?) one is the trial deal, and 2 are freedb types. i have also
read that you can hack in gracenote and other stuff, but i haven't
bothered. the two non-freedb ones will do ALL tags.

but the point is that you really don't need to do any special config to
get AA tags, as u can put them in yourself, or use a DB that will. as i
said, FLAC may require some tinkering for the new to EAC tags, or not,
i'm not sure, but not much more than setting up a DB lookup.
