That's up to you. No, you don't have to update every day. However, if you're filing bug reports or posting to the forum with questions or problems, you should be running the most recent nightly. Otherwise the behavior may have changed or the problem fixed by the time you report it. If you're running a nightly beta because someone has suggested you do so to fix a problem then I would say you probably don't want to update every day. Doing so only increases the chances that you're going to end up running a clunker with some nasty bug that renders your Squeezebox system unusable. This is fairly rare, but does happen every once in a while. Even then, if you keep the older versions on hand, you can always go back to a working version. > The numbers for the nightlies vary from a 2-4 number differences to even > more number differences. How are these number differences determined? It's roughly the number of revisions between the two versions. Revisions, though, can vary quite a bit in their scope. They could be anything from fixing a one-letter typo to the checkin of months worth of work. -- JJZolx ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90089 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
