No, that's quick as always. Copying files to an external HDD in my
LMS-PC is also quick. I do backups of my music library on the NAS-HDD
twice a week - copying about 3 TB of data (incremental) took about 20
minutes - before and after.
But that's the point:
When I Changed something in my library, I did two things afterwards:
- Backup the NAS-HDD to a backup-HDD on my PC
- Update LMS (New + Changed scan).
Those took - one after the other - 20 minutes each.
Now the backup takes 20 minutes as always,
updating the LMS takes 180 minutes. 
So the HDD is slow only in connection with LMS! :(
(btw: I checked the read time for NAS-HDD files - it's about 46 MByte/s,
sounds fair)

No effect, stays slow. Using Windows 8.1.

Memory has been about 3% usage. The other things I'll check with the
next scan.
