I wrote some quick and dirty XML code which you can view here, its
pulled live from the official repo; http://www.spicefly.com/showxml.php

Looks like there is quite some tidying up work to be done on the repo!

Going forward maybe it's worth considering whether to implement like a
traffic light system in the plugin page, for eg.

LMS previous version = green
LMS current version = green
LMS version + 1 = amber
LMS version + 2 = red
LMS version + 3 = disabled

The old method was very annoying, in that LMS version+1 would stop your
plugin from loading when the changes made to LMS version+1 had no impact
at all in the plugin space.  If there was a slower shutdown of plugins
it would make it better for developers and also give a visual indication
to users of the likelihood that a plugin will or will not work.  

Otherwise you are always going to go for MaxTarget version * as it saves
you coming back from holiday to dozens of complaining emails from users
and user work around hacks.
