Hmmm, could take a little getting used to, as I typically use the box and hit Enter. Even being conscious of the menu, I found myself still doing that.
No playback controls? Seems to me that there needs to be some indication to the user in the drop-down menu of whether or not they're seeing all of the search results. It's great for searching for one-offs, not so great otherwise. One small thing I see is that if you now go to the search results page by clicking on the magnifying glass, the pop-open search box in the header no longer opens.
