Michael, I gave your latest implementation in the "public/feature/extended-browse-modes" a test run, below follows some comments but generally it looks really great.

1. The "My Music/Album Artists" menu currently only sort items by number so you don't get the "alpha bar" at the top in similar way as you do with the normal "My Music/Artists" menu. The content is sorted alphabetically, it's just the alpha bar that's missing. The same comments also applies to "My Music/Composers" and "My Music/Classical Music by Conductor" menu.
Will have to look into this. It might be due to the way I register those menus - which I'm not 100% happy with. Eg. those browse modes wouldn't get artist artwork either (using my plugin).
2. I think a "My Music/Classical Music by Composer" would be a better proof of concept than ""My Music/Classical Music by Conductor", the reason
Oh, these really are just a random selection of criteria. I don't even have enough (or appropriately tagged) classical music to test this. I think I chose the conductor as I had the composer covered by the Jazz example. But there's no more to it than me trying to cover various cases.
3. The "My Music/Album Artists/Various Artists" content currently matches the principle that the scanner would set "album artist=Various Artists"
I haven't touched the VA issues yet at all. I first have to understand what the issue actually is.
4. The plugin settings page seems to have some issue with saving, I can select different options but when I save nothing is saved. Not sure if this might be something with my setup but it works to save other settings.
The last commit message before I called it a day yesterday: "Settings page to configure additional browse modes. Changes aren't saved yet - this is mostly a mockup." :-)
5. By adding an option to "Filter #2" where I could restrict the menu to a virtual "library" according to the thread I started in the Developers section this would be really really flexible, but this is another discussion.
We're not there yet... even the current setup is a bit confusing. It should rather be a "filter by role" and "filter by genre" or whatever, as we can't have two of the same type anyway. Adding a third column once support for another criteria is added should be easy.
