Also it's a bit fiddly to get going ,lots of setup and options not
exactly the most userfriendly .

And it also breaks with some standard functionality . A squeezebox
always have all outputs active at the same time Analog, SPDIFF, TOSLINK,
(headphone ?)
Some of its functions seems to be mutually exclusive , you can use some
outputs at is fullest but the cost is that some other output does not
work ? if I understood it rigth .

So to be a good fit for the product it's must be some EDO ligth that
just adds USB audio out and no setup needed for a basic function ?

And all the kernel hacks ? someone must test that it does not impare
normal functionality in any other aspect ?

So it's actually a good fit for an add on as it is not needed by 99% of
the userbase .

No one needs >96kHz (even if they think soo )
There are some USB only DAC's (THE valid user case)
DoP (DSD) out , files can easilly be converted to a usefull format
instead...
