Also it's a bit fiddly to get going ,lots of setup and options not exactly the most userfriendly . And it also breaks with some standard functionality . A squeezebox always have all outputs active at the same time Analog, SPDIFF, TOSLINK, (headphone ?) Some of its functions seems to be mutually exclusive , you can use some outputs at is fullest but the cost is that some other output does not work ? if I understood it rigth . So to be a good fit for the product it's must be some EDO ligth that just adds USB audio out and no setup needed for a basic function ? And all the kernel hacks ? someone must test that it does not impare normal functionality in any other aspect ? So it's actually a good fit for an add on as it is not needed by 99% of the userbase . No one needs >96kHz (even if they think soo ) There are some USB only DAC's (THE valid user case) DoP (DSD) out , files can easilly be converted to a usefull format instead... -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
