I'm running LMS 7.9 (Version: 7.9.0 - 1415789670 @ Wed 12 Nov 12:03:14 GMT 2014) on Vortexbox 2.3. I can go via "Disks and Folders" on the home page of the web gui to find and play music that is not in the scanned library- but only on the Vortexbox machine. I'd like to be able to find drives on another Windows PC on the network. Presumably I have to enter a path that LMS can send out via the Linux Vortexbox (about which I know little) in the field "Media Folders" on the basic settings page of the web gui. I've tried my best guesses and so far have failed to see the Windows PC's disks showing up in the "Disks and Folders" list. So could some kind person point me to where I can work out what to put in the "Media Folders" field?
All the variants that I have entered in the field, followed by unticking the three boxes following (music, pictures, video) simply disappear when I click the 'Apply' button. The target will be a folder called "Musictemp" on drive E: on a PC that is in the same workgroup as the others on the network. The PC's name is O2 and it has a static IP address. I have set up a network share for the folder, which Windows tells me is addressed like this: \\O2\Musictemp All help will be gratefully appreciated!
