In turns out that all my players, including non-LMS players (UPnP renderers) are registered there, even though I really don't want them to be.
I am now in a very strange situation. I completed deleted LMS and reinstalled it (latest 7.9). My UPnP devices (1 hardware and 2 software running at present) show as players, even though I have not yet run squeeze2upnp (a squeelite variant to support UPnP renderers). It seems that mysqueezebox.com has got to know about them, and insists they exist and tells LMS. So I log onto mysqueezebox.com and delete them. Stop and restart LMS. And they come back again! Further, mysqueezebox.com has got to know about them again. I have disabled upnp within LMS (using a --noupnp startup option) just in case the LMS UPnP server facility was getting into the act somehow. To use an English expression - 'pardon my French, but WTF?' LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. LMS & Squeeze2upnp (Beta - derived from squeezelite) to Musical Fidelity M1 CLiC and Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers. Squeezelite to PC sound. Minimserver (server) and upplay (control point) to same amps & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Meridian USB Explorer DAC from PCs to speakers/headphones. Wireless Xubuntu 14.04 laptop controls LMS/upplay via Firefox. Have a Touch with EDO, and a spare, but don't use. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PasTim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41642 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102757 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
