It seems to support AlbumArtistSort, and that is in the standard 7.9 code (and presumably earlier versions). I can't 100% prove it from the resulting data since all my AlbumArtist tags are also Artist tags and I use AlbumArtistSort and ArtistSort.

Minimserver (server) & upplay (control point) to same renderers & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to speakers/phones. Wireless Xubuntu 14.04 laptop with firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.
