One of the reasons for this might be that we only planned to provide the backend-functionality, but not the UI to build libraries... 3rd parties should pick up that task because I didn't want to deal with these UX challenges... but then, oh well, I started to some feature here and there. And that's where we are now.
How do you create a Virtual Library? I've tried using advanced search to separate Hi-Res tracks but I see no option to save the search results other than in a playlist.
Don't play or queue up the resulting list of tracks. But click the "Advanced Search" header once again. You'll then get the form back, which would offer you to save the search as a library.
