iPlayer plugin is not explicitly using its own cache or any other cache
- it is using standard LMS calls (XMLBroswer) whose results are being
cached and these are typically a parsed BBC Listen Again program page
not just a single station or icon. Deleting the cache is not trivial in
terms of overall performance. This BBC related issue only came up
because a page parser has been changed AND BBC source XML feed changed
at the same time - this does not happen often.
