Something like this has happened often enough to me and others that it
would still be handy. There have been several occasions when my iPlayer
seems to have got confused and clearing the cache.db has instantly fixed
the problem. There may well be some sort of performance hit, but that's
not an issue if it fixes a problem. I have to do similar things with
normal browsers for similar reasons.

I've written a script to do it for me, but I'd rather a web gui method.
Trying to explain how to do this to completely non-technical users is
also somewhat difficult, given the variety of platforms.

LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit,
44.1->192kbps. LMS plugin UPnP/DLNA Bridge to MF M1 CLiC (to MF amp &
ESLs) & Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers. Minimserver (server) & upplay
(control point) to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Squeezelite to
Meridian USB Explorer DAC to speakers/phones. Wireless Xubuntu 15.04
laptop with firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with
Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver. Have a Touch
with EDO, plus spare, but unused.
