Just wanted to bump this issue again - I really miss crossfade when
using Sugarcube (which is the majority of the time).
I know. It's on the todo list. I hoped the contributor who did that
change could come up with a solution. Feel free to follow add your
commetn to the issue:

Couldn't you increase the number of tracks to be queued up in Sugarcube
bump to 2? This should effectively work around the issue.
