Hello,

I would be happy if someone could tell me what is the proper way to get
LMS working on CentOS 7 / RHEL 7.

Here's what I did, which does not work:

1) Tried installing what I found in the 7.9 Beta Webpage:
logitechmediaserver-7.9.0-0.1.1453293926.noarch.rpm

then I

2) Tried installing what I found in the squeezecommunity repo:
squeezecommunity-repo-1-5.el7.noarch.rpm
- There are only packages in the Testing repo, so I enabled that, which
gets me:
logitechmediaserver-vendor-7.9.0-0.7.20140409git1396988329.el7.centos.x86_64
logitechmediaserver-firmware-ip3k-7.9.0-0.91.20150903git1441262387.el7.centos.noarch
logitechmediaserver-CPAN-7.9.0-0.19.20150426git1426673042.el7.centos.x86_64
logitechmediaserver-7.9.0-0.91.20150903git1441262387.el7.centos.noarch

regardless of the LMS RPM that I install, the result is that I have the
following entries in the server.log:

[16-01-21 11:11:39.2185] MAIN::INIT (383) STARTING LOGITECH MEDIA SERVER

AND OFCOURSE MEDIA SCAN DOES NOT WORK AND THE SQUEEZESERVER WEB PAGE
HANGS.

CentOS 7 and RHEL 7 will always have the same perl version, but here it
is just for posterity, in case it is relevant:
# perl --version

This is perl 5, version 16, subversion 3 (v5.16.3) built for
x86_64-linux-thread-multi
(with 29 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail)

I'd be happy to test stuff if anyone has suggestions.

Thanks

Z
