Thanks for spotting the thread as I was about to PM you. My suggested revision work for the AAC stream but I don't know of a stream which has the ";" in the Content-Type. I'll look for the update and then retest.
I understand from Kimmo's comment (who sent me the patch to cover the ";" case) that eg. Shaireport would send something like "Content-Type: audio/L16;rate=44100;channels=2".
I'm not able to reproduce mh_'s issue. But imho your changed regex would work.
