The size is not really the point. Try 7Zip on other types of data. The difference might be wider. There is no easy user interface to create a CAB (like right click CAB into ..., UnCAB to ...). It is not a problem at all for me to receive PSPad update under CAB or any exotic format. Jan uses what he sees fit. I guess The PSPad cab is generated by a tool, if this tool can also add an installer on top of the cab then this would be the end of the story. But because the decompression of the cab is manual so another format that can create an auto-extractible archive seems to be more convenient. -- PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
