Two bugs were reported with the 2.5-alpha0 release, one involving Python
relying on a shared library version which is different on a number of
releases, and a second related to a problem with libz not being linked
statically and so causing run-time problems on some distros (neither
problem cropped up in my tests, since the chroot is debian-based and I'm
using ubuntu).

Both problems from building the tarball packages, not from bugs in the
blender source tree. Should I just upload new tarballs and have someone
put those out on the download servers, or should this wait?
