I agree and would like to morph your idea into using the existing node groups, as we have those already and it builds on a successful idea. Perhaps we could use a better way to have those groups in a library, where they are readily accessible. If the old texture stack did not make it into 2.53, and we went only with texture nodes, I would not shed a tear at all.
--Roger I think that nodes are much more simple to understand than the stack method because you can see where the data comes from and where it goes too. Nodes already have a simple and a detailed view that you can turn on and off for each node. I think to make the system really easy and fun we need to have a meta node. A meta node would he something like glass. The glass meta node could be defined in another node page instance. Perhaps you double click a meta node and it opens the page that contains the details of that meta node. -- Douglas E Knapp Massagen Arbeit in Gelsenkirchen Buer http://bespin.org/~douglas/tcm/ztab1.htm Please link to me and trade links with me!
