This simple driver using scene's frame_current as the base of the cube's location updates fine on transform (move cube and it jumps to correct position) but it fails to refresh on framechange. Please fix this! I guess scene update doesn't trigger drivers? this is the bare basis of what should work for decent expressions. I know there are workarounds to force a driver recalc on framechange but I'd think this should JUST WORK
