Thanks for the lists of project ideas! They sound very interesting. I'll read that tutorial soon and have a go with motion tracking in Blender, and I'm sure I'll get a much better idea about what each of the ideas will involve. I'll also take a look at some the code to whet my appetite!
If I want to discuss motion tracking in Blender, should I email you or somebody else directly or continue to use this mailing list? I can of course join the IRC channel as well. I should be up-front about my time commitments; I currently have a trip planned for a week at the end of July or beginning of August. Given that I promise to work *extra-specially hard*, is this likely to be an issue? I may be able to work during the trip or it might not even happen at all, but I hope the possibility of it doesn't ruin my hopes of doing this.
