Sverchok group nodes are an interesting hack, but they are pretty unstable and hard to use. It would be a lot better if there was a unified system so addon developers are't forced to reinvent the wheel. Near as I can tell groups are a fundamental component of the node system regardless the tree type, as far as the user is concerned.
