Nah, I call BS.
If he was just trying to say "it's a meaty game" he wouldn't have used
loaded language like "dumb" and "no thought required". Plus, it is
possible to like "dumb, silly games with no thought required" and ALSO
like meaty games (as I do).
Whereas your counter example doesn't use negative language. Apples
and oranges.
He came across to me totally like someone trying to imply that anyone
who doesn't like this game doesn't like to think. If he didn't mean
to come across that way he could have phrased it more politely.
Personally, I don't have an opinion of the game itself as I haven't
played it yet. It sounds like the kind of game I would like so I keep
trying to get it to the table at a con where I can play it without any
money filtering back to Bohrer...but haven't had any luck yet.
