Plasti-bands are ok for a while but they have very little elasticity
to begin with and they lose it quickly.  You simply can't use plasti-
bands on large decks, they strech right out.  I use hair bands, the
kind that are all fabric with no metal on them.  If it's a small deck
(s) I use small plastic baggies, the kind you use to hold your game
pieces.
