I just buy small ziplocks like you find in craft stores, and keep cards in those. However, a lot of people use hair bands.
[Game publishers take note: I recently purchased a copy of Bison: Thunder on the Prairie, which comes with the tiles pre-punched and bound by a rubber band. The rubber band in my copy had melted and damaged several tiles.
