The cards work fine in Deck Protectors or Dragon Shields. I use the same Dragon Shields I use for Magic/VS./WoW tournaments. Note that those who complain about Interactivity and shallow depth do say they've only played 1 or a handful of games. If you don't like the game for whatever reason you're not going to explore all the combinations, strategies and interactions.
