My daughter is 9 - and the most enthusiastic game player of my three youngsters. That's not to give the boys a hard time; they're great too. But my daughter is the one that loves learning new games every bit as much as playing the old ones.
Thanks to BGG's track-plays-with-opponents feature, I discover that I played 130 games with her over the six months between her brothers' birthdays (their birthdays are 7/15 and 1/15, so those form the natural half-year markers in our household.) She claims Thebes is her favourite. But we often have time only for a short game before the kids turn in for the night - and her favourites in that class are (Big) Boggle, Animalia and Fairy Tale (at least based on the number of plays.)
