I can't be bothered trying Age of Steam, and don't remember liking any other Martin Wallace games, but Brass was pretty good. We went through the game and the guy who taught us kept saying "oh yeah, there's another rule I forgot" which I thought was lack of preparation, but it seems the rule book is the same way. I don't normally like long complex multiplayer games, and thought Tinner's Trail was kinda boring, but I'd happily play Brass again.
