Much like a standard deck of cards, the Decktet includes extra cards [akin to the Jokers in a normal deck] that are not used in every game. These are [as of about a month ago] included in all copies of the Decktet, whether PnP'd or professionally produced, whereas they had not been since the very beginning. If you see "Extended Decktet" as a requirement, it means the game will make use of some or all of these "extra" cards [they are considerably more interesting than Jokers] so you'll have to read to see how.
