I think you need to remember that your MMO's are probably larger
companies. The 'tech' guys you are referring to are rarely the CEO of
the company as is the case here. The tech team isn't the whole
company, again, pretty much the case here. It might help if you think
of it this way also. You wouldn't expect your Ford Focus to have the
same performance and power of a Formula 1 racing car. Try not to
expect BGG to act like EA Sports. CBS Studios (Star Trek Online) or
Bethesda, etc.

Keeping these things in mind will perhaps give you peace of mind when
frustrated with downtime for smaller operations. I worked for over 20
years in IT at IBM....it isn't all milk and honey running an IT
infrastructure :)
