I use MayDay cheapo sleeves, too. And, they aren't very heavy... but they work if your main concern is greasy fingers, chip dip, etc. Anyway... one thing to be aware of is that you'll often get packs of the Mayday sleeves where many of them will not fit properly (too small to fit the cards without them bending.) However, Mayday is really quick to respond to such issues and offer replacements.
