That being said...  No.  It's not good enough. And I AM subscribed to the 
announcements.. but I never get notifications about new ones. They could at 
least warn the people that donate money. But ultimately should notify 
everyone via EMAIL. Enough people use the site often enough to justify 
notification of outages.

Or at least check to make sure nothing like a math trade is scheduled to 
end on the day they "schedule" maintenance. >:/
