My wife loves it, her friend likes it and we boys are okay with it. We just played it last night and it was fun. My recommendations are - Try to get the green or red +2 tech. If you can get them both, even better. - Get your ships in from different sides of the board. - Try to get your trade posts in a few islands (preferably including a big island) before focusing
